Tools used to create the photography in my portfolio
• Field Equipment: Canon R5, Canon 5D, Canon 1D, a variety of Canon L series lenses from 16mm through 400mm, Gitzo tripod, Really Right Stuff Ballhead.
• Editing and Processing: IMac 27 inch Retina 5K display, second display for Photoshop Palettes, Photo Mechanic for quick editing, Adobe Camera Raw and Photoshop, TK Actions for creating luminosity masks. I use the following plug-ins from time to time but they are used with care otherwise I believe the photos all start looking alike. Nik Color Effects, Topaz Studio: AI Clear, AI Gigapixel, Aurora HDR, Luminar, Auto FX. I often experiment with new plug-ins when they are introduced.
• Library: Adobe Lightroom, G-Drives for storage
What to look for in my work: Softness at times, I sometimes add film grain for texture for a nice artsy look. Subtle use of saturation in bright colors, and subtle use of vignettes to help draw the eye into the frame. Mix techniques throughout my body of work for variety.
